Clouds are often seen as peaceful, floating in the sky as if hanging by strings. You see them as gentle reminders of someone who you love very much, and who will always be around to take you higher than you've ever been.
---
"[name]! There you are, I was looking all over for you!" John drifts over to where you are standing, leaning on the swing set at the playground, watching Dave spin Jade around on the spinning carousel thing. He lands on the grass silently and smiles at you. You give him a warm smile in return, hugging him briefly.
"I told you I would be at the park with Dave and Jade, remember?"
"Y'know, I don't think I do, actually. Haha, I probably wasn't listening." He gives you a sheepish grin.
"I wouldn't doubt it," You reply, chuckling to yourself. He always had his head in the clouds, literally sometimes.
"So was there a reason you were 'looking all over for me'?"
"Oh, yeah! I wanted to show you this cool place I found. Wanna come along?" He looks so excited, you think he'd be very disappointed if you refused.
"Sure, I guess. You're gonna have to carry me, though." You smirk, knowing he won't mind at all.
"Alright. You're gonna love this place, I promise." With that, he wraps his arms around your waist and jumps up, flying into the sky like it's nothing. By now it's completely normal for everyone here. You wrap your arms around his neck, not really worried about falling. He has hammer-strong arms, there's no way you're too heavy for him. He drifts through the clouds and up above them, still carrying you. You enjoy going places with him, when he carries you above the clouds and you can feel the wind on your face and see the clear blue sky reflecting in his bright eyes. It isn't much of a secret that you like John. You don't try very hard to hide it, and pretty much everyone except John seems to know about your crush. He's so clueless, you think, but it's endearing. Just like his goofy personality, and his silly jokes and pranks.
"Okay, close your eyes, [name], we're almost there." You do as you're told, closing your eyes without a word and waiting for the o-k to open them again. You can feel him land, and soon he's setting you down so that your feet meet soft grass once again.
"Can I open them now?"
"Not yet! No peeking, okay?"
"Whatever you say, John." You feel him place his hands on your shoulders and steer you towards some unseen destination. It's not long before you come to a stop, having been steered this way and that for about five minutes.
"Alright, open your eyes." You can hear the excitement in his voice, and you open your eyes, instantly smiling at what you see. In front of you is what has to be the most beautiful place you've ever seen. There is a waterfall of cascading crystal clear water, falling into a sparkling pool. There are some rocks scattered around parts of the small shore, but there's also a sandy area where one could wade into the water easily if so desired. The grass is lush and green around the area, which is surrounded by tall leafy trees. Colorful wildflowers dot the rocks and grass, completing the scene.
"Oh, John, it's so beautiful..." You're a bit breathless, because here you are standing in this amazing place with an equally amazing person, who notably still has his arms wrapped around your shoulders, his arms holding you close against his chest. You can feel him laugh behind you, the subtle jump of his chest against your back telling you he's chuckling.
"I knew you'd like it. C'mon, the water's really nice." He lets go of you in favor of grabbing your hand to pull you towards the water. You hesitate.
"You aren't suggesting we're going to swim in there... right? We don't even have swim suits..." You pull a face at him when he laughs.
"Who needs swim suits, I can just use my windy thing to dry us off when we're done!" Oh, you hadn't thought about that. You nod and let him lead you to the water's edge. You both remove your shoes and socks before stepping into the water. It's cool, and the small ripples dance around your legs as you wade further into the pool. It's chest-high at the deepest point, and you sink down to wet your hair, enjoying the cool water washing over your face. When you come up, you already know John will have disappeared from view, probably lurking under the water with the intention of jumping out and startling you. When he does just that, you only laugh as he splashes water at you.
"Nice try John, but I totally expected that." You smile at his slightly disappointed face.
"Aw, come on, [name], was it that predictable?"
"Yes, John, it was." He sticks his tongue out at you so very maturely and you spend the rest of the afternoon swimming and goofing off in the pool by the waterfall.

Sky blue: Reader x ?: John
“John?!”
You helped the derpy boy to his feet, letting him fix his glasses he knocked askew. He gave a small laugh and wrinkled his slightly red nose.
“Hey! Oh, it’s fine ______!” He chirped happily, fixing his blue ear muffs that had also fallen crooked. You grinned. “You… didn’t happen to see Dave did you?” He gave you a puzzled look, a hunk of snow in his hair. You couldn’t help but give a small laugh.
“He’s at home, like any sensible person would be John.” The store suddenly made its appearance in your memory. “Hey, John, I gotta get… I need to

Breath Taking: John x Reader
You looked at yourself in the mirror and sighed.
You weren't the skinniest girl ever but you weren't fat either. You were simply chubby. You weren't insecure about it though... most of the time. But sadly right now wasn't one of those times. You looked over yourself again and sucked in a bit. It just didn't look right... Maybe it was the fact your were wearing a dress... You usually try to wear pants at all cost but you couldn't this time. It was a "Black tie" event... You sigh again. Why couldn't you be skinnier at times like this? You look into your eyes. If you kept this up you would start crying and that wouldn't be good. You're boy
